Lindsay W. Loewer, MHA, is the Director of Professional Development for the MHA program at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She joined faculty in November of 2014, and is responsible for orchestrating all administrative internships for MUSC’s MHA students. Additionally, she teaches an executive skills class during the Fall semester to each incoming MHA cohort. Mentoring students and providing a strong foundation for professional development is a passion of hers.
Prior to this academic role, Lindsay served as the Director of Operations for a large, multi-site physician ophthalmology practice in the Charleston area. In this position, she was instrumental in the: acquisition and development of associate physicians, hiring and evaluation of clinical and administrative personnel, successful implementation of a practice-wide electronic health records system, and management of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Meaningful Use measures for each provider.
Lindsay is a 2006 graduate of Virginia Tech, where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She completed her Master of Health Administration at MUSC in 2008.
