Dr. Jillian Harrington is a Program Director (Health Informatics) & Lecturer in the School of Global Health Management and Informatics at the University of Central Florida. Previously she served as an Assistant Professor of Health Administration at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. With over 25 years experience in the health care industry, Dr. Harrington brings a wealth of knowledge and practical know-how in the areas of health care compliance, ethics, policy, finance, and revenue cycle.
She holds a doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University, a Master of Science in health systems adminstration from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Master of Sports Leadership from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from SUNY Empire State College. She also holds several medical coding and compliance certifications, is an approved instructor of the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum through the American Academic of Professional Coders (AAPC), and is a fellow of the AAPC.
