Bio

I have a ‘PhD’ in Business Management (Speciality: Healthcare Leadership), ‘MPhil’ in Management Sciences, ‘MBA’ in Health and Hospital Management, and a ‘Doctor of Medicine’ (MBBS) in my educational profile. I have successfully completed my Post-Doctorate in Healthcare Management from MSU-COM, USA. Currently I am serving as full-time Professor at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), and as Clinical Assistant Professor in Michigan State University (fixed term). I have around 30 years of experience in the health industry serving diverse roles, i.e. in Population Health Management through Value Based Care in USA, in Academics, comprising of teaching in universities on professorial positions, as a Medical Doctor in OBGYN practice, and working for a pharmaceutical company conducting intellectual development initiatives. I have worked as the Director Clinical Operations Michigan, Wellvana Health, looking after the field operations for building and operating a sustainable network of primary care physicians, specialists, and ancillary providers participating in value-based care agreements related to, DCE, Medicare Advantage, ACO and other at-risk populations.This lead to improvement in quality outcomes and clinical operations through reviewing coding, claims, utilisation and clinical data from contracts, supporting physicians and patients in the complex healthcare environment. Also served as Clinical Program Manager, leading the clinical spectrum of Population Health Management, through Value Based Care Program and its verticals for Prime Group in the Arizona market. Also honoured as HEC approved PhD supervisor. In addition in my earlier career, I have served as Director Media & Marketing and later Director Programs for the development of the Health Management Institute at Dow University of Health Sciences. As a certified corporate trainer, I have designed and conducted training programs for primary care physicians, and healthcare professionals in pharmaceutical companies. As a General Physician and Manager Operations, I have been involved in OBGYN practice in Tertiary Care public & Private Hospitals, also in its strategic planning for clinical operations and hospital staff training. I have 26 research publications and more than 50 Masters' Thesis Supervisions to my intellectual credit and have been presenting my authored research papers at international forums like Japan, USA, Italy, France, India and Australia etc. I have the honour of getting “The Best University Teacher Award” (BUTA) in 2020 at my previous employer university.
