David Gibbs, PhD, CPHIMS, CPHI, CHPS, CISSP, FHIMSS, is Department Chair and Associate Professor at Texas State University in the Department of Health Information Management. His research and teaching areas include health informatics, cybersecurity, and interprofessional education. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of HIMSS.
